Latest News February 2010 - Econotherm partners with Aggregates International on Carbon Trust IEA project Econotherm has been appointed as waste heat recovery technology rpovider under the CArbon Trust Industrial Energy Efficiency Accelerator Programme. Partnering with Aggregates International the 18 month project will focus on developing a viable waste heat recovery solution for the asphalt industry. The asphalt industry has for a long time been recognised as a large source of unrecovered waste heat which due to the difficult nature of the high particulate exhaust has remained unrecoverable due to the lack of a viable technical solution. In being appointed to the programme the technical benefits of low fouling, high durability and ease of cleaning offered by the heat pipe units are recognised as offering the best solution to the asphalt production process. The programme will run over 18 months and is funded to approximately £225,000 by the Carbon Trust.
